Roof Cleaning
-
Black Streaks, Algae, Mold, Mildew, Moss, Lichen, Leaves and Sticks, They all shorten your roof's life. These things will hold moisture and can cause rot. Some of them will feed off the limestone in the shingles, or will sprout roots that will slowly lift and tear apart your roof.
How To Clean

-
Different types of roofing require different approaches.
-
We carefully remove any loose debris then apply cleaning agents to one section at a time.
-
We must clean an entire section and not just a few spots
Asphalt Roofing
-
We use the roofing manufactures recommended method of treating the shingles with the correct powerful soaps.
-
We will not use high pressure or a stiff brush on an asphalt roof as this could lessen the life of the shingle.
Moss Algae Lichen
-
We may use a soft bush or peel large clumps by hand.
-
Our preferred method is to use a mix of soaps and let sit for 4 to 8 weeks. This is the industry standard and it is quite effective.
